Yoga Mantra Meditation film Personal Time with Swami-ji, 157 minutes, shot in the Indian Himalayas at the source of the Sacred Ganges River, featuring Swami Sundaranand will see a new DVD cover.
The film originally shot as part of TheCenterForHealingArts.com’s healing arts film series that offers one-on-one`time`via film with rare healing arts practitioners will see itself repackaged to reflect the original Yoga experience the film gives to those wishing the experience of sitting with a rare yoga Swami at his home high in the Himalayas.
The film features Swami Sundaranand who moved to Gagotri India in 1946 in the then remote Himalayas. At that`time`there were no roads to Gangotri and it involved an arduous walk. Gangotri was only made accessible in the 1970’s when a dirt road was constructed.
The film’s director and producer, Victor Demko, has made the packaging more reflective of the content of the film due to the wide interest in having the experience of sitting with the last of the great Yoga Swami in the Himalayas. “The original packaging did not fully reflect the depth of Yoga experience one could expect from the film. The film was shot with all long takes and has no quick editing to allow viewers to get deeply into the Yogic tradition which Swami-ji represents. Notes Demko. The original packaging did not reflect the rare nature of the opportunity to encounter the Swami via the film." Swami ji, age 79 at the`time`of the shooting, is full of inspiration, wisdom and generously shares Yoga’s spiritual guidance for not only Yoga practitioners but for all who tread a spiritual path of any kind.
The film has so far gone into over 40 countries remarks Demko. “It would be nice if the film which reflects Swami Sundaranand’s good work and practice went out to more then those who have a deep esoteric interest in the original path of Yoga. Any one who practices Yoga will benefit from this film. These principles apply to every aspect of improving life” says Demko.
The film cover chanting Om, the stages of yoga meditation techniques as well as the approach to the pranayama techniques the Swami himself uses.
